Bounty Trail Multiple Endings
Four months, one loan, more than one last ride.
Steam lists multiple endings as a feature, next to 30 bounties, five territories, and a leveling system. The announcement trailer and store copy also sell revenge. This page explains the pressure that creates those endings. It does not name unconfirmed finales, because we have not been given a chart of slides.
If you have not finished month one, use the walkthrough first. Spoilers below stay at the level of systems, not cutscene transcripts.
The clocks that write the ending
Three meters are already on screen before any credits:
- Calendar time. Key art text says you have FOUR MONTHS to pay the debt. Store copy says the loan is due by the end of the year. Fall 1881 plus four months is the box you live in.
- Money. The office header shows a dollar total. $3,200 on October 8 in a screenshot is a hunter who is not done. $10,000 is the number that matters. The debt tracker and money guide are the practical tools.
- Conduct. Hunted / Caught / Killed is printed in the office. A career of DRAW-only kills is a different story than a career of surrenders, even if the wallet matches. Alive work also feeds skills, which feed later percents, which feed whether you can still choose.
Henke’s pitch includes “get revenge.” Edward Thorne is the partner who took the loan and ran. It is reasonable to expect an ending fork around whether you clear the debt, how you hunted, and what you do about Thorne. It is not reasonable for this wiki to invent a “true ending” name.
Playstyles the systems already reward
The accountant. Takes posters that fit the calendar, camps, talks, surrenders when the percent is honest. Caught stays ahead of Killed. Skills rise. This hunter is built for whatever ending cares about paying on time with a reputation.
The duelist. DRAW as a lifestyle. Faster hunts, worse XP, more Killed ticks. Might make a month of cash and then bounce off a late bounty the tier list would have told them to skip.
The tourist. Loot and treasures, as the Steam feature list allows, at the cost of day counters. Treasures are real income. They are not a replacement for the board.
None of those labels are official. They are how the HUD already sorts you. Endings in a short RPG with a debt usually read those sorts of ledgers. When September Games publishes a breakdown, this page will cite it. Until then we will not counterfeit one.
Demo versus full release
The demo stops after the first month. You will not see the full ending set there. Do not treat a demo credits card as the finale. The September 1, 2026 release is the campaign with multiple endings enabled as advertised. If a demo save carries forward, confirm it on launch notes rather than assuming Thorne shows up in week two.
How to aim without a spoiler map
- Keep a written log of Caught versus Killed. The game already prints it; copy it down between hunts.
- Do not ignore the four-month line in the trailer. It is the only ending timer we can quote.
- Spend XP. Skills change DRAW and, by extension, whether a late bounty is even choosable. See skills.
- If you want the talk-heavy ending space, live on capture alive. If you want the gun, live on combat and accept the XP tax.
- Official links and the trailer sit on the links hub. Watch the announcement trailer only on the homepage embed; this page will not restamp the same video.
What we refuse to invent
No fake ending titles. No claimed Thorne boss HP. No list of “you must spare seven men.” The office already tells you how many you spared. Play enough posters that the ledger is a sentence, then finish the year.
Sibling reading: Walkthrough for month one, Debt tracker for the loan, Guides hub for the rest. When a patch adds an official ending menu, it will land on updates.
Four months is short. The endings are the receipt.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about bounty hunting, debt, and skills.
How many endings does Bounty Trail have?
Steam lists multiple endings. An exact count has not been published, so this wiki will not invent one.
Does paying the $10,000 debt change the ending?
The entire design is a four-month loan. Money, time, and how you hunted (caught versus killed) are the visible forks. Wait for official notes before treating any one meter as the only flag.
Can I see all endings in the demo?
No. The demo is the first month. Full endings belong to the September 1, 2026 release.
Is Edward Thorne an ending boss?
He is the partner who took the loan. Revenge is part of the pitch. His exact role in finales is not listed on the store page.
Should I restart for a better ending?
Not until you understand capture alive and the debt tracker. Most bad finales will be empty wallets and empty skill trees, not a missed pixel.
