Bounty Trail Hunt Type Tier List
We rank job shapes, not a fake 30-name S-tier.
A honest Bounty Trail tier list cannot pretend we have combat logs for all 30 bounties. We have posters, HUD clocks, and Steam’s own rules. This hub ranks job types. Named outlaws appear only when a screenshot printed them. For skill spend order, open the skills tier.
S tier: long-clock talk hunts in a known territory
Best jobs in the game are 5–7 day posters in a territory you already rode. Information is cheap, Energy is predictable, Convince Bounty To Surrender prints a grown-up percent. Baldheaded Doom’s Sandy Plains card ($600, 5 days) is the public example of the shape, not a claim that Doom is the strongest man in 1881.

A tier: first visit to a new territory with a 5+ day clock
You pay a mapping tax. Fog is thick. Farmers are new. The clock must be long enough to buy that tax. Do these when month one still has room, as the walkthrough describes. Do not do these on a 3-day paper.
B tier: cash-first posters you might DRAW
Fat purse, ugly Information, short clock. Take them when the debt tracker says the loan is on fire and you already have DRAW bonus from skills. Otherwise you are selling the future. Combat is the manual for this tier, not a lifestyle.
C tier: 3-day clocks in fog you do not know
Day 3 / 3 with a rifle out and Information at 35% is the store’s own warning shot. These jobs exist to punish tourists. Skip them until the roads are memorized. If the board only offers C tier, take a loot-and-camp day instead of a wipe; loot is still income on the money guide.
D tier: kill-only habits
Not a poster type — a player type. DRAW every time, ignore farmers, never camp. You will post Killed numbers that look brave and then bounce off later hunts the Steam page promised would get tougher. Recover by forcing two surrenders in a known territory.

Confirmed on official extras and screenshots: Weasely Bob, Doniphald Suppersby, Harry “Big Head” Bronson, Ugly Peter, Tincan Jack, William The Vile, American Mike, Obstinate Jeb, Monobrow Joe, Outlaw Fella, Baldheaded Doom, Wagon Wheel Joe, El Gato Terrible, “Big” Tim Stonehill, Billy Two Hats, Albert Smith. Named lands on those papers: Sandy Plains, Rainy Plains, Gran Pradera. El Gato Terrible has a south-west sighting, which makes that hunt friendlier than a silent fog map. That is a scouting grade, not an HP grade. Full table: wanted board.
When the community logs more names, they will land here. Until then this list stays honest.
How to use the list in the office
- Read day limit and last-seen territory.
- Ask whether you have mapped that land.
- Ask whether you need XP or cash this week.
- If both answers are “I need everything,” pick S or A, never C.

Because we only have confirmed names from official screenshots. Ranking fake outlaws would be fiction. We rank hunt types instead.
Is Baldheaded Doom S tier?
His poster is a good job shape: $600, 5 days, Sandy Plains. That is an S-tier contract type, not a boss ranking.
When should I take a short-clock bounty?
After you know the territory and have DRAW bonus to spend. New land plus a 3-day clock is C tier.
